Yes I watched The Boys when it came out. Stumbled on Brightburn tonight and it’s very much in the same vein.

Started the Boys last night after my daughter recommended it. Watched 3 back to back. Really enjoying it, very dark.

In the early 80s Alan Moore wrote a comic series where a former teen superhero sidekick with Superman power levels decides to unleash his full power on the population of London. It wasn’t pretty. Really was torture porn levels of nastiness.

Edit: Actually, I think the character does to his secretary the exact same thing that Homelander does to Madelyn Stillwell in The Boys.
