Interesting and troubling 6 part documentary about proliferation of drugs and gun culture in once sleepy Huddersfield, starting from a fatal police shooting - well worth a watch.
Labelled as BBC3 but don't let that put you off. Caught a bit by accident on BBC1 else I wouldn't have watched it.

Either that journalist is terribly naive or he his trying to stretch out the pre-story a little too much.

It was obvious from the start that the subject of this was a drug dealer- how many other unemployed people in Huddersfield can afford to hire a Lamborghini at a cost of £2'000 per day? No doubt using cash..

What made me laugh was that huge portrait of the deceased on his father's wall- very resplendent with his shisha pipe and garish clothing.

I find it difficult to believe that the presenter's best friend claimed to not know that it was this dealer who attacked his brother previously.

At least the reporter found that the police merely succeeded in ensuring his demise whereby other Pakistani dealers had narrowly failed by shooting at him a year or so earlier.

Interesting story, but they've not half dragging it out, it's an hour long story max stretched to 3 hours. Long form dramas and podcasts have got a lot to answer for.

Just seen it. The journalist can't be serious when he says that he didn't know that Pakistanis are huge players in the UK heroin trade.

This has been common knowledge for decades
