BBC red button Teletext.
Discussion
On my last TV (it was about 5-6 years old) the red button gave the updated teletext type of pages. But my new TV, the red button gives me web pages with the news.
I used to love Ceefax (and Oracle and 4-Tel) but the next version was never as good to me anyway.
I think I watched Ceefax more than the TV in those pre-internet days !

I also use it several time each day, as it's a great way to get a summary of the main stories. You can then go on-line for greater detail if you need to. I've been using it, and its predecessors, for decades.
I'm disappointed that the BBC have decided to do this, but I guess they have to support their bloated management structure, unnecessary diversity specialists, and needless foreign trips to report on things which could just as easily be covered from the studio somehow. They really do need to be placed under the scrutiny of the National Audit Office.

That's because it took so long for each page to scroll round...I used to love Ceefax (and Oracle and 4-Tel) but the next version was never as good to me anyway.
