Love a big dumb film and The Rock is usually good value too.

I'll only watch badly lit art house films in the cinema, ideally while defrocked priests drive blunt nails into my shins.nono

This looks like an ideal way to spend a few hours!bounce

Looks good, but they have left Jack Whitehall out of the trailer, and he plays the same boring old character in everything usually ruining stuff for me. Hopefully he gets shot in the head in the first five minutes.

I can't wait for this, it's going to be thoroughly tongue in cheek, which I think The rock does so well. He doesn't take himself too seriously.

For those that don't know, it's based on the very old classic ride at Magic Kingdom, which has been there since the park opened. I ride around some very basic animatronics, where the "captain" of the tour boat spends the whole time dropping some very grown inducing jokes. It's a fun ride. smile

I can't work out if Emily Blunt is your poor man's Keeley Hawes, or if Keeley Hawes is the poor man's Emily Blunt?

As for Whitehall, to paraphrase The Thick Of It, he's just your standard issue insipid posh p***k. That's all I've got, and in fairness that's all he's got too.

I was on the jungle cruise at Disneyand in July, the guide felt dead inside to me. I wondered at how many thousands of times she had said the lines. In Grace's trailer watch she mentions that some of the lines are lifted from the cruise. biggrin

Yeah, they will be I expect.
The lines on the ride are always delivered very dead-pan, it's part of the joke.

She seemed less annoying in that trailer than she is in Mary Poppins

I considered that, I suppose it helps to deliver the line for the 28,546th time, and also helps with conformity, but to me, she sounded tired of it, not just deadpan.' I only went round once though.

Having lived there for a couple of years, I've no idea how many times I've been on it. Some are probably a bit bored of it, some deliver the lines dead-pan but with a sparkle in the eye. Also when they ask a question and get an answer they always have an alternative joke answer for the one they get. It's one of the oldest and "Disney purest" rides in the park.

If you could have them both washed and sent to my room, I shall perform some definitive tests on your behalf - it may seem a duty to most but I'll push through.

I shall look forward to this. As others have said, the Rock is usually good entertainment, plus Emily Blunt lick

Every time I see a Disney Release my first thought is 'is Dwayne Johnson in it?'.

Don't get me wrong I love the guy but I feel like he has more potential then be typecast by Disney.
