Mercifully not. The conceit is that AA is filling his spare time (a) in the break between filming the WD series and (b) before he becomes a father again. MB is back in the UK.

It is quite watchable.

I want to like this so much, I watched the first episode but feel it's the same as Wheeler Dealers, 15 minutes of actual work surrounded by 25 minutes of chatting and 10 minutes of recap. I quite like Anstead, he seems genuinely passionate about the cars and find him about as likable as Edd was. Just wish we actually got to see what happens. 2 seconds of sparks from an angle grinder and a full out rigger falls off. A time lapse here and there wouldn't go amiss.

At least we're not subjected to "owd aht yer 'and" several times an episode.
