I have to say I really like him as a presenter. I'm saying that now after quite a lot of years, as I just realised that I watched him for 15 minutes on YouTube (Foodtribe) making a cheese sandwich last night. Probably one of the most boring things you can do but I was thoroughly entertained smile

He really does have a style all his own, and I knew immediately his old trope the 'Mouli' grater was going to get involved at some stage. The production values are terrible but that is surely part of the joke?

The "Disassembler" series were strangely theraputic and satisfying. He's always been the best of "those three".

I don't even like cheese, but I enjoyed watching that.

Disappointed he didn't have a near frozen block of butter that ripped the bread apart when you tried to spread it.

Love it!
Something so mundane, but with a touch of James May, very watchable.

The ultimate test of his personality, Watching Paint Dry with James May; I somehow think it will still be watchable.

But he'd have thought of that in advance ... and explained it very carefully ... and it would have remained entertaining thumbup

He could probably manage a spinoff programme on butter dishes and not keeping all your butter in the fridge...

He's just bought a Tesla and and a Toyota Mirai as well. Experimenting to see which EV "fuel" he likes best. Be very interested to hear what he thinks.

I haven't watched the cheese sandwich one yet, but he previously made a tinned ham versus Spam comparison, which went down well in my household of Spam enthusiasts.

Waiting for another season of The Reassembler. Great soporific TV.

A mate has spent some time with him, speaks highly (unlike Clarkson and Hammond, who don't fare so well in his estimation).

The stuff was disassembled to start with , he reassembled it. Maybe taking something apart's an idea for a second series.

Enjoying Foodtribe. He only buttered one slice though and Lurpack spreadable never spreads for me. We had Cheshire cheese (we just called it white) for best smile

A great presenter in my opinion. Easy to watch pretty much anything he does. I'd like to see something along the lines of manlab or toy stories again, it's probably some of the best free to air tv we've had in recent years.

He is by far and away the best of the three of them and I do wish he would step away completely, but I guess he knows what side his bread is buttered on, he clearly loathes Clarkson most of the time!!

Most of what he has done for tv elsewhere has been memorable, he has a unique view on things and seems effortless in presenting.

Actually much like Clarkson who away from cars has done some magnificent pieces about engineering and the very memorable series on the VC which I watch most years.

He should do a spin off car/travel show with Harry Metcalfe, the two of them travelling through Europe and beyond in an old Jag or something, stopping off for local delicacies and other low key adventures.

Pretty much the same thing he did with the Oz Clarke, but with Harry instead, and less wine.
