They should watch Mrs Brown and learn how to write gags and funny situations,
what BBC tosser commissioned this unfunny trainwreck of a show ?

No, anniversary special from a year or so ago.

I haven’t seen it; didn’t know there were any new episodes coming out. It was leagues and leagues ahead of Mrs Brown though in its time. If it’s as desperate as Mrs Brown then I’ll be really disappointed. Can’t imagine the team behind League of Gentlemen churning out that type of ste though.

Mrs.Brown's Boys is to League of Gentlemen what See No Evil, Hear no Evil is to Citizen Kane.

Two totally different types of show. Mrs.Brown is slapstick, LoG is dark comedy, surrealist.

Although, I would happily commission a scene where Mrs.Brown goes in to the shop for a can of Coke.

The wife bought me a LoG T-shirt for Christmas... she's also a big fan, and living proof that Americans can find surreal dark british comedy very funny indeed.

The anniversary specials were absolutely brilliant, I hope they do another short run of shows again, or a live tour.

We showed it to a German friend and he was howling laughing. Devoured the first series in a day, which was suprising as I didn't think the humour would translate.
