Netflix account hacked and email address changed

I woke up this morning to find someone in USA had hacked into my Netflix account and changed the password and email address. Due to current situation the phone numbers are down and they are accepting only online chat / contact, but you need to sign into your account to do it, which of course I can’t.

Any tips on how I can contact them to change and report this? Guess worse case I can cancel my DD and open a new account.

Typical as it’s only now that I was going to start getting my value for money from Netflix!

Hi.

I wokeup on Saturday to the same thing, and looking on Twitter it seemed to have happened to quite a few folk in the UK overnight.

I just had to perseve with the 0800 number. Took about 30 minutes to get through. Got to say the girl I eventually spoke with was very helpful and everything was sorted in about 10 minutes.

Does seem a strange thing to hack. They hadn't even watched anything.

I tried calling the number but they said they are not accepting calls anymore so doesn’t even ring. Guess that has changed since Saturday

Go here: https://help.netflix.com/en/ and click on Live Chat, when it asks for the issue enter "Account Hacked" when it asks if you can login say no and it will open a chat session, wait time is 40 minutes at the moment

Thank you very much. However when I click the link there is nothing saying live chat. Just a search box. Clicking “next” just reveals more search results but never takes me to a live chat window. Obviously not signed in.

What am I missing?

Live chat wasn’t there on my phone but worked on my PC. Spoke to them today and sorted now. Thanks for the advice!
