Basically I hink that a lot of TV shows that rely on guests and are having them appear on screen are really falling apart.
To me they just don't work
I came across a cookery show this morning - total disaster.
Pregnant pauses people talking over each other false starts - you go first , pardon waffle no you etc
BBC Question Time is dying on its carefully distanced chairs

I just wonder why they aren't stopped for now and something else put on its place

Come Dine With Me looks so alien now, all that hugging and sitting close to each other. frown

I agree ,the footage from people's kitchens /sofa /study is dreadful but there's only so many repeats that I could tolerate.

Well that is no bad thing. It must have been good for sales of new TVs though.

You start a thread because you came across a cookery show, but apparently didn't pay enough attention to remember its name.

Poor effort OP; if you want people to engage, at least name the show you think is a "total disaster", otherwise your thread risks just not working.

I disagree. The fact he can't remember the name of the show just shows how st they all are.

I hate any and all these reality/pretend reality/cheap programming stuff. My wife laps it up though, so I just go and tinker.

The Steph show is another that is total crap. I caught it on 3 different days each time just hopeless. The varying length delays the poor quality audio etc
But in Steph McGovern's case the biggest contributor to the mess is Steph herself
There is a funny story going round that Stephs very good friend set the programme up as a vehicle for Steph. Her very good friend left the BBC to go to Channel 4

A lot of people have very good friends its not unusual to have a very good friend. who can help you,and your family with your career

Agree - watched it last night. The delays ruin it, but you don't realise how much you miss the audience laughter etc., too. All feels very flat.

Saturday Kitchen isn't too bad, they're doing pretty well under the circumstances.

The MOTD podcast thing was great in Lineker's kitchen, not so good remote over webcam.

I think we're establishing that not only does Mr Liverpool have some slightly xenophobic traits, but he also appears to find it 'wrong' or 'funny' that a TV presenter can have a lesbian wife.

I thought it was a dig at the nepotism.
