But an absolutely predictable one from you, so the equilibrium is preserved.

Very well done, not sure about the story though, a bit like Harry met Sally but with more sex and no jokes.

She is fit, Cute rather than glamorous but certainly fit.

I think that she is like a lot of girls/women that I’ve met in my life, not beautiful, but as attractive as all get out, she is, as the French say, gamine, not to be confused with a gamin, (street urchin).
She has that certain je ne sais quoi, in spades.
My wife said, “See if there are any 5 or 6 parters coming up, I’m getting fed up with movies all the time”, so I saw this and downloaded parts 1 and 2.
She seemed to enjoy part 1, but when 2 started, and they began to get at it, her mood changed, “Oh, now I see why you picked this one out.”
I think that it’s been really well written, and exceptionally well acted.
The scenes of Marianne and Connel ? taking their first stumbling steps into a teenage sexual relationship were credible IMHO.
I found it difficult to believe that the actress playing Connel’s mother was actually his mother, I thought that she was his sister, but I’m a terrible judge of ages.
It looked like attending Trinity College Dublin was an absolute gas, all intelligent conversation, screwing and boozing, with the occasional tutorial.

I’ve now watched 10 episodes, and have # 11 teed up ready to go.
The acting, to my uncultured mind, has just got better and better, ditto the story lines.
I’ll not reveal anything, but “Normal People” Is developing, (for me), into one of those series that you hope will never end.

There’s nothing like an old canard.
Not for nothing, but my hand to God, and on my eyesight, I never, ever, took the long way round.
My criterion never altered, I took the route that I would want to be taken if I was paying the fare.
In addition, your second your should be you’re..

Just watched the 1st two episodes. Not sure, I'll probably continue but it's not sucking me in

4 episodes, now I'm hooked, I've invested in the characters.

Terrific book , and I doubted if it would work as well on TV . It does - and brilliantly so, with terrific performances by the lead characters, with and without clothes .

I preferred the lady characters, but each to their own.

Seriously, Marianne is perfectly cast. You can just about see why she might think her looks are lacking compared with more conventionally glamourous girls, but also see that she's totally wrong in that regard.

Oops - 'lead ' ! Great casting , yes. Marianne isn't the first girl you'd notice at a party , but the one you couldn't take your eyes off an hour later .

That’s what I’m talking about, or, although some frown on Americanisms, you’re darn tootin’ !

I think that you’re pushing the envelope a bit there, casting aspersions on the condition of any of the taxis that I ever bought in the years that I patrolled the streets of the capital, but I’ll take it in the hopefully tongue in cheek manner that it was meant.
I attach a shot of the penultimate one that I owned, I look a tad washed out, but the black money box looks clean enough, and in reasonable nick I think .

At the risk of provoking helpless laughter from the Irish contingent of PH, I genuinely had no idea the actress playing Marianne was English. Most attempts by English actors to sound Irish sound embarrassingly awful even to me.
