The 5 best action films of this century...
Discussion
Just read the below article on the bbc and disagree rather strongly with at least 2 of the films - but will acknowledge that they've made a decent first of an impossible question.

So - what are your top 5 action movies released since 01:01;2000?

I actually thing those are all really good choices, I might swap out John Wick for Fast Five though.... Love John Wick but Fast Five is such a fun film to watch with amazing (if absurd) action scenes... it changed the franchise forever (for better or worse depending on how you look at it).https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/5GVhbkzN...

Otherwise my order would be a little different but those are excellent choices... rewatched Mad Max Fury Road recently and it really is a ballistic all out assault on the senses... it only slows down a couple of times throughout and then before you know it all hell breaks loose again.
I think The Raid would be my number one though, a masterpiece combination of a super simple concept with near perfect execution, I never tire of rewatching it either.
Dredd
Magnificent 7 (remake)
Black Hawk Down
Secret Soldiers 13hours in Benghazi
Saving Private Ryan
Lots of others, but tried to avoid franchises (The Raid being a franchise nearly made but I think Dredd edges it - mainly for sticking to source material).
Man From Nowehere (Korean) nearly made it, but rejected as it's a bit if a grittier remake of Man on Fire. Training Day not in the list as not an action movies.
Bourne, Wick all great franchises; but no one single movie jumps out (JW1 possibly). Thought about Last Train to Busan, but probably horror over than action - also about to be franchised. Also Dawn if the Dead (2004) was a real contender, again horror / action - but nearly in there for speedy zombies.
