Just watched 'The life of David Gale' on Netflix.
Very good, but somewhat difficult to figure out what actually happened. OK, that's exactly the point but:
It appears that terminally ill Constance disguised her suicide as a murder in order to frame DG and get him onto death row, so that when, just in time, her friends released the videotape revealing what really happened then the death penalty advocates would be undermined. It is also suggested that said friends decided it would be more effective if the truth came out after DG had been executed. But what's that final video clip all about? Is it just that DG was in the loop all along and that's why he told the journalist about the tripod and suggested there was an interesting videotape somewhere? Is the 'Berlin' character relevant to this or is she just a backstory?
