Heads up. It's midnight and I'm drunk because... four months of furlough and it's Sunday night. But the episode of Father Ted when he kicks Bishop Brennan up the arse is on Right Now on More Four!
Showing my age, but this was one of those moments which, like THe Germans of Faulty Towers was one of my comedy higlights as a kid.

Back in the land of the living.
I think it's been at least fifteen years since I watched it. It turns out they have the whole lot on channel 4's website so have just been revisiting the Nazi one. Actual tears of laughter
I'll need to binge the lot at some point, I'd forgotten just how good it was.

Top 10 comedy TV moments for me was the "are you right there, Father Ted" episode where he's waving at one of Craggy Islands Asian community at the window. Literally spat my beer out the first time I saw that.
So much of the episode is gold! When the woman outside his house is going absolutely nuts about the Greeks while his other neighbour wants to know if it's now church policy to be a racist, just that he's really busy and might not have the time to fully commit, or when he finally makes it to the pub and the entire place is full of Chinese.

Father Dougal:
Come on, Ted. Sure it's no more peculiar than all that stuff we learned in the seminary, you know, Heaven and Hell and everlasting life and all that type of thing. You're not meant to take it seriously, Ted!

Personal favourite had to be the quote from Father Dougal
"Come on, Ted. Sure it's no more peculiar than all that stuff we learned in the seminary, you know, Heaven and Hell and everlasting life and all that type of thing. You're not meant to take it seriously, Ted!"
