What is the cheapest way to watch Rugby Union and cricket on TV?

Well, that's it.

I am not interested in football.

I have no subscriptions at the moment. My TV is connected to my PC through a couple of clever plugs. I have a Humax You TV box.

What is the best way forward for me?

Cheapest might just be to buy a NowTV day pass when there's events on that you want to watch.

You can get a Sky Sports package that omits football but you only save a couple of quid a month over the full package.

If you can bundle your phone and broadband in with a Sky subscription you might find it isn't much more than you already pay.

You can, of course, watch illegally for free on the internet.

Which cricket tournament?

International England highlights are on BBC2 at present.

Thank you for your advice.

I have signed up - through plusnet - to BT Sport on Sky (at least, I think that's what it is called). The nice man at plusnet said it will give me all the Rugby and the cricket.

£10 a month.

No contract.

Cancel whenever I want.

We will see how it goes.

Another response to my own question.

A few weeks back, I re-negotiated my contract with Plusnet. By not very difficult discussions, I got the monthly price down by £12, fixed for - was it 12 or 18 months?

Any road, even with the addition of £9.99 a month for this Sky - BT Sport thing, I am still paying less than I was before.

I thought you might like to know that.

BT sport has the English Premiership, not sure what domestic sky has if any (or when the contracts are up). BT app is on at least Apple TV and you can dip in and PAYG, I assume the App is on other devices (mobiles obviously have it). Champions and Challenge is BT/CH4? Premiere sports nobbled the celtic stuff (Pro 14) which is very annoying as it used to be free to air/sky.
