Watching the 3 remakes they lost, on Yesterday.

The scripts are very good but the actors are all pretty dire ( save perhaps Sgt Wilson).

Just underlines the genius of the original casting and why it became such an iconic series.

I’m the same, I think what’s “spoiling” it for me is I can hear the original actors in my head doing it better.

Well the third one was no better.
Terrible disappointment really although the imaginary one in my head, fuelled by having seen the originals, was good.

I watched the 3 episodes on Saturday night. It was clearly actors playing actors playing characters.

Oddly I thought that was what the 2016 film was going to be like, and it wasn't, plus I thought that was actually not bad at all.

It they used the original scripts then it just shows how good the delivery of them was at the time. When I watch the originals, I feel like it's actually real, like all those people are there in the church hall and I'm watching them; but the 3 lost episodes had that look of not being real about them, as if they were all trying a bit too hard.
