Films for 14yo

As the father of a very soon to be 14yo I've been given the task of providing food and entertainment for my daughter and her friends for a sleep-over party.

Any suggestions for films that i can get on Amazon Prime/Blu Ray to keep them mostly entertained for a bit? My knowledge of teen films stopped around the time of the Brat Pack.

Hunger Games is a good call.

Couple of other suggestions: Clueless (1996) & Mean Girls (2004) - both good fun, although appreciate probably a little dated now.

They are going to natter about stuff that 14 year old girls natter about.

They will be texting etc etc etc.


It is a losing battle.


Oh... and stock up on feminine hygiene product and a some extra jammies... Someone will forget.

If you have Prime, let them choose for themselves. They're teenagers, not 5yr olds...

My 14yo daughter would have boycotted anything i chose on principle.

Is the correct answer. Give them the remote and then shut the door. The last thing any bunch of 14-year-olds want is us oldies interfering.

My daughter is 12 and a half - I've not had the privilege of hosting a sleepover (she lives with her mum) but the above is almost accurate. From what I gather, my understanding is closer to "give them the remote, access to whatever streaming service you have, all of the snacks and go upstairs & put on your noise cancelling headphones"

Exactly, I've never heard of any parent choosing films for a teenage party, let them get on with it.
