Does anyone else watch 'Alone'

Anyone else watch the US program Alone?
The premise is 10 contestants are dropped in the wilderness and the last one to survive without either tapping out or bring pulled out on medical grounds wins $500000, or $1m as in the latest series.
For a US show it's brilliantly gimmick free. They film themselves and are properly alone. They're only allowed to take 10 basic items with them. Things like fire starters, saws, fishing line etc.
All the series start in September time and as winter sets in it brings a natural conclusion to most episodes. Living entirely off grid is exceedingly hard.
Most of the contestants have some sort of wilderness and survival training and seeing what they come up with is fascinating to me.
It's funny seeing some of the alpha males capitulate without their rifle while some of the women who look weak actually thrive.
The Artic editions are my favourite.

My favourite show.
I really liked the couples edition a few years ago. Its amazing what some people can achieve given the conditions.

This series has been particularly good, I liked the 100 day element that has been added to it.
I would have liked to have seen someone else win it though. As much as the winner did deserve it, I found it very difficult to warm to them. It was quite clear from the beginning that they had won from the Zoom type interviews they conducted at the end of each episode.
I've watched a few seasons but, grew a little tired of the format eventually. There are only so many rabbits/squirrels you can watch being skinned and gutted before it gets a bit repetitive. I didn't make it to the end of the most recent, 100 day season.
I've found the Ed Stafford survivalist challenge races to be an entertaining alternative.

It's noted that no woman has won yet but in the 100 day series there was 2 win in the last 3. They're more than capable they just seem to lack that last bit of a competitive edge and a couple have been pulled on medical grounds when in the last 2.
