Is anyone watching the new series of Perry Mason starring Matthew Rhys? I thought he was very good in The Americans, but I can't find any forum feedback on his turn as the detective/future lawyer.

Yep watched it at the time - there was a thread on here about it (a small one). Enjoyed it.

Yeah, it's pretty good. Rhys does an excellent job as the lead. All setup for a second season to move things forward.

It’s on Sky Atlantic to save others googling.

I watched the first episode, I'm always on the look out for a decent detective series. It definitely wasn't for me unfortunately; I never really watched any of the previous Perry Masons though, so I've no idea if it was a good representation of the character and something I was never going to enjoy.

I thought it was ok, but could have done with being six episodes rather than eight. It seemed to go on a bit with all the church stuff. I enjoyed it more once they got into the courtroom.

The coroner from Perry Mason played a main character in "I Am The Night" which I watched next and enjoyed more. It's on Alibi if you have access to their On Demand on Sky.
