Weird one folks, but trying to find the name of a english historian/expert who is occasionally on tv, in things like tony robinson or sam willis programs.

the guy is in his 50's, dresses very old fashioned/smart with patterned waistcoats to the fore, has glasses and long lankish, possibly balding hair and is well spoken. im fairly ceratin hes also a practising druid if that helps!

someone must know who i mean

You mean Richard Holmes, I'm watching him on BBC4 as I type, but it doesn't sound like him either.

googling 'british druid expert historian' hes the 4th result.

thanks though and everyone else!

War Walks is getting a re-run this week.

Remembrance week is sheer manna from heaven for the BBC schedulers , just show
ancient repeats of sentimental war related stuff and no-one dares to complain lest
they be seen as unpatriotic and a possible fifth columnist.
