Tyson v Jones Jr

I decided not to pay for it in the end, was it worth watching?
Spoilers, if anyone did intend to watch it. I didn't stay up for it, and honestly, I didn't pay either.
I'm a boxing fan, but I don't pretend to even be am armchair expert, I just like to watch people fight well.
It was very odd, mostly because of the Covid stuff, deathly silent and utterly devoid of atmosphere. They walked out to a lot of flashing lights and that, but you never felt anything building up. I don't know if it was their age or the lack of atmosphere but neither fighter seemed all that up for it.
That Guy who does "let's get ready to rumble" (no, not Ant and Dec) did "let's get ready to rumble" and 12 people in the audience clapped. I have to say the words "tragic" came to mind.
I'm sure the fighters could hear each others corners between rounds, and at one point a very audible fart from Tyson was heard.
Snoop Dogg's commentary (it was an option, not the main commentary) was brilliant, he's a funny guy.
As for the fight...
About 8 seconds into Round One is was clear, Tyson was the fitter and stronger of the two, no it wasn't like when he was in his 20s, if anyone tells you he could walk into the ring with a current fighter and do anything is mad/stupid.
One upside of the lack of crowd, a bit like in F1 when they swapped to the smaller, quieter Turbo engines you could hear tyre squeal and stuff like that again, you could hear punches connecting, none were pulled.
During the 8 short rounds, from Tyson there were a few tiny little glimpses of why he was just so exciting and dominating in his prime, a few of those quick ducks a big swings, If you were a Tyson fan back then it made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, but they were rare and short. Yes he will always be Iron Mike, yes he lost 100lbs to fight and he looked great, but he's still 54.
To my non-expert eyes anyway, Jones had "HOLY s
t" written all over his face, from that 8 seconds into round one and spend the rest of the fight desperately holding onto Tyson to try to avoid an actual boxing match. If he did actual hit Tyson neither Tyson, the Commentator or I noticed. Tyson seemed to comfortably win every round. When it ended the ref held the fighters wrists ready to lift one for what felt like ages, there was a bit of a discussion and they didn't call a winner. The fighters left the ring, Tyson had a bit of an argument with someone, not Jones or anyone from his corner and on the way back to the dressing room they stopped for a chat with the presenter. There were some questions whether their was any official judges, being it was an exhibition, but the 3 former Boxing Pros (unnamed as far as I can tell) decided it was a draw, I think Jones was the most shocked, he started by giving a bit of Boxers Hype about not liking draws, and then pretty much admitted he'd lost and didn't want to do anything like that again. Tyson was very humble about it, gave 'props' to Jones for his performance, and said he was happy for a draw and wants to 'fight' again.
It was all over in about 30 mins.
It could have been much better in terms of spectacle with a loud crowd, and maybe that might have spurred Jones into fighting a bit more, but in reality I don't think either went into it actually wanting to get hurt, all that stuff pre-fight about going for a knock-out was just hype. The main difference is Tyson, when the bell rang he unleashed himself about as much any 54 year old boxer could.

I have edited my post relating to the result, I should have used spoilers. Not sure if you want to edit yours as it quotes my original unedited post.
If theres one thing I remember feeling about Tyson back in the day, is how dismayed I was that no British fighter could ever hold the title whilst ever Tyson was around. I think I even wanted him to lose every fight I watched. However, I now really enjoy watching the old videos of his fights, and documentaries about him. He truly was an awesome fearful fighter and I wished I had spent time appreciating that back in the day.
Shame we just don't have any real big fights anymore, none of the recent boxers have become household names like Tyson, Bruno etc are, and I haven't seen a truly great boxer since that era.
