On tonight, Saturday 12th, 22.55 after The Untouchables on BBC2, a wonderful film and after The Offence arguably Sean Connery's finest performance.

I believe Connery himself thought that his finest performance was in this film. Thanks for the heads up.

And to think he fitted it in while being James Bond! Was a great re-watch last night, I too havn't seen in decades.

I hadn’t realised it was on last night but by accident just turned on as it was starting. Had not seen the film for over 25 years. A classic cast (and directed by Sidney Lumet) of Sean Connery, Harry Andrews, Ian Bannen, Ossie Davis, Ian Hendry, Alfred Lynch, Roy Kinnear and Michael Redgrave. Definitely one of Connery’s best performances.

Remember that as a child and its not been on since. Will take a look . Has to be better than the untouchables which was a bit crap really.Shootout around a giant baby was almost a comedy scene.
