BBC 22nd January
Drama based on the investigation surrounding the murder of Swedish journalist Kim Wall onboard the submarine owned by Dane Peter Madsen.
Looking forward to watching it.

Phone got on my nerves as well because I used to have that ringtone but changed it years ago, yet as I was using the soundbar, it sounded as though it was ringing in the room and I kept checking my phone.

It was a slow burner , a bit like “The Bridge” and “The Tunnel “ also from Sweden/Denmark . But like those we found it absorbing, simple subtitling made it easy to follow , and in the end we binged on iplayer .We just had to get to see the conclusion , from the news we knew how it would turn out , but nevertheless seeing the investigation process , how hard the teams worked and the breakthroughs was interesting

The narrative was interesting, if glacially sloowwwww, but the decision to not feature or even name the
worthless piece of st murdering bd was inspired.

Something ITV might think of the next time they considering doing another heart-warming drama/doc
about a worthless piece of st multiple/serial killer.

We’ve watched the first 4 episodes. Very, very good. Atmospheric, bleak and compelling. As others have said, the decision not to include the murderer was brilliant. If you’ve not seen it yet, do. It’s a real gem.

I think the phone was intentionally jarring.

Phone going off all the time is annoying (anti-social bloody things...!) but it is compelling viewing and I look forward to the next episodes.....

Just finished it and agree with the above. Amazing how captivating it was looking at Jens doing nothing! Him sitting in his car in the rain...yeah I'll watch that!

Really enjoyed it - really well shot and filmed and not naming the murderer was a great call.

We had noticed the murderer was never seen ,did not pick he was unamed during the series , In the text sum up at the end, was he named then ?
Good that this type of low life does not get the oxygen of publicity .

I wonder if the way Jens treated his daughter was accurate? It seems such a tired old cliche that no detective ever has any sort of normal family life that it is hard to believe it. Also, why did so much happen at 3 o'clock in the morning?

A very odd case. One of those that you wouldn't believe if someone had made it up.

Maybe I'm odd?
Watched most of episode 1, dozed off couple of times, woke up hadn't missed anything
Fell asleep during episode 2, wife updated me in 30 seconds
Watched all of episode 3, wished I'd fell asleep......
Slow, tedious, reliant on moody music, poor lighting, long drawn out film of nothing. Jens face, the parents by the water edge.
Wife will watch episode 4 I think, I'd rather cut my toe nails!

Thought it was superb.

Very emotional when the neighbours were delivering flowers and the Mother’s closing speech, the tension with the divers was also just right.

Must have been tempting to sensationalise some of the story but I didn’t once think ‘bet that never happened.’

I enjoyed it.

Pace was glacial but you expect that with Scandi Noir.

Poor girl.
