Big business, selling short, deaths, international conspiracies with anarchist groups, coke, Ferraris zipping round London: All in a day's work at the New York London Trading Bank.

hehe Utter tosh, but found myself watching three episodes late last night. Anybody else?

Three episodes in as well and enjoying particularly as the main character drives a Ferrari 599 as his d/d (I wondered for most of the first episode why he was driving an “old” Ferrari before remembering its set roundabout 2010.

Just finished episode 1. It’s got a tiny whiff of Billions about it, but not much. Enjoyed how much the 599 featured.

Anyone else have an issue with the volume, found it hard to hear the characters over the background noise in some scenes?

Finished it and enjoyed it. Re volume. I agree that you either have the background music at a reasonable volume and can’t always hear the speech or you have it louder and get blasted by the music. I solve this by having the subtitles on but again, this could be an age thing.

Started by watching the first two episodes last night
Bit confusing but sticking with it for he moment
We have the sub titles on as a matter of course!

Cleared some never to be watched off the SkyQ box after the first few last night - Man in Room 301 - glacially slow
and another Scandi type which was painful (Girls name cant remember)

Have been watching with my OH who is probably enjoying it more than I am. I prefer the “personal” side of the story rather than the financial one as my knowledge/ interest of Banks/Stock and Financial markets, selling “short” etc is limited. I have a number of issues:
Background music that is almost constant even when characters are speaking.
The fact that is played out within real events, and how many of those events are distorted, exaggerated or altered to fit the narrative of the story. Eg, Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece and Spain are all on the verge of collapsing.
Everyone, apart from the mail character, look exactly the same during the flash back periods.
And I know this is silly, but why does no-one ever have problems parking, or traffic issues when driving in London? I’m sure as soon as that Ferrari exits the underground car park, he will be stuck in traffic!
Also I just can’t take seriously the character with the curled up moustache!

think it's 7 episodes in now and getting confused.
No real idea what's going on, who's screwing who (financially) and yes that bloke with the tashe looks like something from an 80's comedy show.

Thanks. Hadn't realised season 2 had started. How have the first 2 episodes been?

Alright to be honest.

Starts off back during Brexit, deals with the Chinese, Covid technologies and conspiracies and an Eastern European genius.

Utter tosh again, but watchable. thumbup

Really really good.

A more-realistic version of Billions, with less emphasis on two individuals and more on the system.
