Not a massive fan of Zack Snyder but have to admit Dawn of the Dead is a pretty good movie so looking forward to this.
Releases on 21 May 2021 on Netflix.

Something that may be good. Liked train to busan 2 (apart from fake looking video game action sequences) which seemed to have a similar plot.
Busan 2 had the most embarrasing death sequence at the end I have ever seen in a film though.

I'm in but....zombies don't run!
The tortoise and the hare threat is their key appeal... You can run, but they can shuffle 24/7. You'd tire, they wouldn't.
Hollywood, stop it with the sprinting zombies! You don't need to make them more interesting.
World War z was ruined by the fast zombie.

28 days later was the first movie with running zombies. So not Hollywood's fault as that was a British movieThe tortoise and the hare threat is their key appeal... You can run, but they can shuffle 24/7. You'd tire, they wouldn't.

Were they called zombies in that film though. Thought they were just very angry people
If they were... Fair point. I take it back. Fast zombies still spoil wwz though.

Dawn of the Dead remake (also from Zach Snyder) had fast zombies back in 2004 and it was brilliant, it really made good use of the fast zombie idea to add a more imminent threat. Not sure if this is set in the same universe or not though, these Zombies seem to have quite a bit of intelligence. The tortoise and the hare threat is their key appeal... I agree with you on WWZ - aside from the fact that it really shat all over the book in so many other ways, it changed the Zombies from slow in the book to fast in the film, presumably because the producers wanted more action and liked the visual effect of the zombie swarm.

I thought money lost any relevance in these post-apocalyptic zombie worlds...
'explained' here: https://www.cbr.com/zack-snyder-army-of-the-dead-m...Not so sure I buy that explanation but looks like good mindless zombie fun from the trailer so I'm in.
Note that Romero's 'Land of the Dead' also featured money still being used. Didn't make a whole lot of sense to me at the time either.

One aspect of this, that is original (I think) is that it's not a post-apocalyptic world, the Zombie outbreak happened in Vegas, which it's pretty remote, so they managed to contain it with shipping containers...Okay seeing how the world managed to react to Covid, the idea they'd just barricade it and leave it be seems odd, but hey it's a popcorn shoot 'em up.

Personally always said zombies should be fast when just new and as weeks/months go on slow down because of muscle wastage. Why would perfectly formed muscles not be able to run full pelt at you before the wastage starts?
Anyway looks ace can't wait.
Yeah. I'm with you. It would add to the suspense too. Spot a zombie. Is it a dangerous, fresh, running one or a shambling, old and crusty one etc Anyway looks ace can't wait.

That's just Vegas isn't it?
Absolute dump of a place. Zombie apocalypse too good for it i say. LOL
Yes, looks like there is a big wall around it and they have herded all the zombies into it. But if they could get them all in there why couldn't they wipe them all out.... oh right, Hollywood logic.Absolute dump of a place. Zombie apocalypse too good for it i say. LOL
Think of it as a Fallout New Vegas film
