Considering there are now 13 series of this, I've only just discovered it today when I saw an advert for a documentary of Tom Hanks, which is the first episode of series 13.

They cover the black & white film stars (series 1) all the way through to todays film stars. It looks a great set of programmes.

I'm guessing as usual, I'm the only one who has never discovered this sooner?

Caught the last half, and then the John Carpenter documentary. Some good stuff on Sky Arts.

The Movies is a good watch, 13 episodes starting with the golden era of Hollywood finishing with the 2010's on Sky Documentaries.

I find it's a slightly odd format with the same 4 or 5 talking heads who are either reading a script or have spent some time doing a lot of homework for each episode. That said, it's enjoyable watching generally.
