The narrator was cringeworthy. It’s very thin on content so far.

Typical GM fayre, that said he's a very watchable fella and I'm a fan of his so will carry on with it (plus who doesn't like a Hurricane?)

He narrates all GM's stuff, loves to lay on the jeopardy hehe

GM seems to have been off our screens for a couple or more years now, I suspected this was a repeat when I saw it on Sunday eve, but recorded it anyhow.
It seems not so looking forward to it.

Eh, eh?

I quite enjoyed it. For a non flyer he seems a bit of a natural.

The first 40 mins I watched were OK but I hate the false jeopardy. Narration was woeful.

I had to go as we were boarding the LeHavre Pilot but it seemed alright, hardly 'must watch' TV.

Guy Martin, the 21st century's Fred Dibnah I reckon.

His programs seem to get lighter on actual content as time goes on. Maybe the second half will be better but it's not been very compelling so far.

Like many other TV shows it has been increasingly difficult to provide any sort of content due to the pandemic. Having said that I wonder if Guy really has had enough of TV and would rather just go back to doing his own thing.

I noted that during one flight Guy's shoulder straps had slipped off but he had no troubles flying inverted?
Silly sod for cutting his face on the rear of the scope when firing the .303.

You could see it was going to happen but he took the pain very well.

I found that quite a good little series. Guy certainly took to flying very well and the aerial shots were excellent.

The aerial filming was about the only thing it was worth watching for, especially the wingtip mounted camera showing the leading edge slats popping out on the Buchon as John was chucking it around.

And the fact that some aircraft owners earning some much needed funds last year as a result of no airshows, it was worthwhile from that point of view at least.

Im enjoying it now. Got strangely emotional watching them 'dogfighting' which is unlike me. Two planes and pilots trying their absolute best to outmanoeuvre each other is amazing even in peace time

Here's a nice random compilation of scenes that didn't make onto TV.

The Al Murray/James Holland ‘We have ways’ podcast have a new episode taking to Guy and the producer about the show. Guy comes across really well on it, knowledgeable on WWII engineering.
