Looking forward to this, Anna Maxwell Martin is always worth watching.

Always good to see this back on, I think it’s a really good little comedy.

Diane Morgan is always a guaranteed laugh.

I know it's sexist and its just a comedy but I often think women, given a juicy secret or confidence, can't keep it for longer than the time it takes to find someone to tell.

Watched the 1st episode and in my opinion it's not a patch on Motherland.

Watched half, seems to be a much less funny version of Motherland.

Sadly, you're right.

She was never the best character in Motherland and the ensemble cast worked well.

I'll give it another chance, but it just seemed a bit repetitive and unlikeable at first watch.

I watched 2 episodes of Amandaland last night and enjoyed it, had some genuine LOL moments. Surprisingly I didn't even find Siobhan whatsit annoying like I do on the pottery programme.

I concur. Watched it over the top of my iPad whilst scrolling PH.

Wasn't amusing enough to keep my attention, it came across as a poor attempt to keep the crew and lesser known characters in a job whilst the big names are off earning big money elsewhere.

We watched the first two last night too and I really enjoyed it. I went in a bit sceptical but I think as it's in a new location it works. Had they kept her in the same place I'm not sure it would have.

Siobhan can do no wrong in my eyes since her performance in Derry Girls!

Seems a strange choice for which character to do as a follow up - she was the least funny of any of them.

I’ll give it a try.

We watched a couple of episodes of Amandaland last night. It's not as good as Motherland, obviously, but is a pretty good little sitcom I thought. Some good characters and a good continuation of the 'motherland universe'.

Curse of BBC1. Any show that moves from BBC2 to BBC1 is always worse. Top Gear for example.

Never watched Motherland, but my Mrs. started watching Amandaland the other night and now we're five episodes in.

Wasn't sure at first but it's grown on me. Joanna Lumley has had some great lines. hehe

Motherland is worth a watch, if only to get an idea of Amanda's character and how she and Anne fit in with the story.

biggrin Same - I find Siobhan thingie is really, REALLY annoying on The Great Pottery Throw Down, but actually OK in this. biggrin

Enjoyed the first episode, and I think as a series it could be a grower. smile

My wife has been watching Amandaland and I have seen some of it.

It is quite amusing. Very like Motherland without the major characters.
