Just a heads up. There's a programme on BBC4 tomorrow night at 9pm about cars that were made in Coventry. It's presented by Mark Evans and includes marques such as Riley, Triumph and Jaguar.

I thought it was pretty good but a bit haphazard with constant jumping between the various marques. I like Mark Evans as a presenter, not in-your-face like so many others.

One observation - when works Rootes driver Rosemary Smith was featured she started and finished a rally stage in her familiar Imp, but mid-stage she appeared to be driving a Renault 8 Gordini - odd that.

I did spot that the one aerial shot was showing a Renault

Yes I enjoyed it. Its amazing how much Coventry did to the UK car industry. And they still build the Taxis there, so manufacturing continues.
