Which DAB radio?
Discussion
I'm looking for a small mains powered DAB radio, specifically for speech radio. Nothing fancy, alarm not required - difinitely not 'smart'/alexa enabled.
I only listen to Times Radio and Radio Five Live, maybe LBC or Talk Radio occasionally. Pretty much every radio I've tried is far too bassy, I assume to 'enhance' what many require for their music. With speech radio, this makes them unclear, and the bass is annoying to anyone not in the room as it travels throughout the house even at low volume.

Silly check 1st - does your radio have tone controls, perhaps in a buried menu. Turn the bass down!
Otherwise you want small. Smaller devices have less bass. 2nd hand Pure One Mi are cheap on the internet auction site of your choice
They are rechargeable battery. I can't recall whether they can be listened to while "plugged in" to the mains i.e. charging. I've had one for years, battery life is still very good.
