Terminator 2: Judgment Day was officially 30 years old as of 1 July 2021.

To mark the 30th anniversary, director James Cameron participated in a lengthy oral history of the film published by The Ringer which is worth a read.

Fans of The Terminator franchise can find a similar oral history for the first movie here and one for another Arnie classic, Predator, here.

Enjoy.

Very good read! Absolutely love the Terminator movies, well, the first two for sure haha. Absolute classics and just so original and ahead of their time.

Cameron was smashing it through the 80’s. Terminator and Alien. Perfect film making and excellent story telling.

I love T2, it’s been my favourite film ever since seeing it at the cinema in 91.

It came back to the cinema quite recently, was that for a 3D release or an anniversary? Either way I went back to the cinema to see it a few times.

Really churned out some classic stuff back then.

Shame he disappeared up his own arse never to be seen again. There was a thing call Future Man that had almost a whole episode built around the ego of James Cameron.

T1 is the better film though.

Having seen T1 recently on what I assumed is a restored print I have to say the visuals look really great and better than T2 too.
