Tebay Services, "The Lake District Farm Shop"
Discussion
Anyone watching this? A 'fly on the wall' style documentary about my favourite motorway service station and their local suppliers.. I've always wondered why more service stations can't be like Tebay at Westmoreland, a properly relaxing place to be and decent food. The family owners seem genuinely committed to providing the best they can, and it seems to be working.

Tebay used to be so much better than it is. Some of the food is bang average now and its all bloody expensive. Farm shops are still ok
Yep it’s a shadow of what it was, and silly expensive. We stayed overnight at Tebay about six years ago. O/H still reminds me how disappointing it was; meals and service poor, room average, cost high. We don't stop for en-route refreshments now.

It was good enough for me in the late 60s to mid 70s and it was good enough for our two eldest daughters in the 00s
A flask of tea and coffee is also a must
Used to be great, now just bloody expensive.
I use the Superchargers there a lot, and I've learned to avoid the artisanal crisps and sugary pop, that costs a bloody fortune.
Coffee is good and maybe a flapjack, Pepsi Max and Hula Hoops from the garage adjacent, because that w
