So we’ve had four new pros named and the first three of the celebs. As per norms I’ve never heard of them but hoping to recognise my usual half the field by the time they’re all announced.
The biggest plus though should be Anton replacing Bruno as one of the judges for the series.
Keeeeeeeeeep dancing!

Forgot it was already that time of year - not long to go.
First 3 confirmed as:
Tom Fletcher - part of the band McFly (same band as Harry Judd who won in '11) - wife Giovanna won I'm A Celeb last year.
Robert Webb - Peep Show, Mitchell & Webb, etc, etc.
AJ Odudu - Presenter (TV & Radio) on a number of celeb / reality shows including The Voice, Big Brother (Bit On The Side), etc.
As mentioned on last years thread, Janette Manrara also takes over the ITT presenting role from Zoe Ball & as you say also a few new pros in too either as main / background dancers.
Looks like it should be back to the usual full length run, rather than the shortened one we had last year due to CV restrictions.

Yeah that's a bit of a shame but it's been hinted they might decide to do a "Blackpool Themed" weekend in place of going there.
TBH I can see why they decided not to take the risk of trying to organise something there. With the amount of costs in planning / booking / organising, etc, only to end up having to cancel it all if BoJo flip-flops once again on what evidently is / isn't going to be allowed come that weekend.
Edit - found a link on one of the fan sites saying that both the show bosses & those responsible for the Tower Ballroom agreed a few months ago that it wouldn't be feasible due to uncertainty over what future Covid measures may, or may not, be nearer the end of the year.

That recent announcement reminded me of this, from a long time ago:

Yes, that seems very sensible. As you say, there just isn't the stability at the moment. So predictable.
So is your comment
I’m sure if someone were bored enough to look you could find plenty of us posting how the lesbian dancing partners were a simple entry for the full blown men’s event this year.
I presume next year it’ll be a transvestite pairing and from there? Who knows, I’m not up with the latest attention seeking sexual fad.
Are we to presume the other gay dancers are to feel put out by not having a male partner unlike the chosen one? What is the common reason we’re supposed to give for the gay dancing again?
