Great channel - been watching since lockdown 1. Always get a good variety of cars.

Though for any Smith and sniff listeners, you can’t help chuckle every time Rob says spawwwttt

It is the antidote to the norm.

They're very good at what they do and put in a great deal of effort to get it right whilst Rob is always polite and encouraging in his voiceovers.

It's interesting with a huge amount of calmness.

No dramas, no deadlines, no rubbish.

Brilliant stuff!

Kent, but close enough smile

I like their content, just a couple of fellas grafting and wheeler dealing, not the usual Youtuber style of 'isn't life great and look at my supercar that I am bored of after a month'.

My one criticism is that they gloss over the selling part of the process, no mention of people coming to look at the car and walking away or something taking ages to sell (I guess now they are semi-popular they have people queueing up to buy) and never have any mention of any post sale complaints or warranty issues that you'd expect someone selling cars at the cheaper end of the market to have.

Remember Rob had his Ferrari which he was rebuilding to keep and use, but then sold it on when completed. biggrin

To be fair, they're both just too down to earth to be driving a Ferrari. smile

I think this is because 90% of the time the cars are sold via his Instagram so it’s followers who generally buy them. Either that or he sells them to mates/trade contacts etc. I do know in a recent video he sold the 90s jet ski to someone and it kept conking out, so offered to cough up for a full going over of the engine at the cost of several hundred quid.

Their Ferrari was before I started watching them, perhaps should go back and have a look...

Didn't watch the jetski videos either.

I do like how they seem to put a few miles on all their cars before sale to shake out any issues, that's probably more work than any other used car dealer does before selling anything.

Been watching them since they started. They have improved a lot since then. Chris refused to be on camera at first and still try's to avoid it. smile but good honest content.

That fiesta ST looks a right mess - clearly a badly installed sound system the root cause of that fire!

I knew it would be a doctored car when he said it was a private entry - often is at salvage auctions

It looked terrible to be honest but once stripped back it is not too bad, the bulkhead is fine and just needs a little paint.

Biggest issue is engine and sourcing all the parts required.

Very surprised at him working on it with no gloves at times, fire damaged plastic can be very dangerous to health long term.

Interesting update on the Fiesta, excuse the pun but the engine is toast, sump is full of water etc.

Big fan of this channel!

The production quality is fairly amateur but almost adds to the authenticity of it - I think for me as well it's so different to my office job it's fascinating to see the other end of the spectrum with respect to earning a living. It does show as well how much effort and time goes into properly fixing cars (whether salvage or just neglected).

Yeah I watched that earlier.

I know he said it’s pointless trying to work out what happened, but did the Fire Service pump the engine bay full off water, down the melted inlet? Was the fire caused by the dodgy stereo, or did they pop the head gasket with an oversized turbo install and light a match for an insurance job?

We’ll never know.

I like the channel though, it’s very down to earth and also comedic at times with all his “reaching out” and asking his Mrs friend to do a bit of a ‘glamour’ shoot washing the car.

It is interesting as most people on YouTube were commenting that it looks like an insurance job however I am sure in the first video Rob said it was unrecorded.

Mot history on the Fiesta is bonkers, had its first one in December 2015 which was early as the first registration was March 2013, it was then not retested until March 2018, once this ran out it was not tested again.

Very strange for it to be off the road for so long.

Or maybe it was used without an MoT. It may also explain why it was unrecorded. Either it had no insurance or the insurer refused to pay out as it had no MoT, in which case it would also be untaxed. No surprise that it had been doctored for the auction photos if this is the case.

I knew there had to be a thread somewhere. I've lost a lot of time watching this channel, the guys are a lovely, down to earth, antidote to the usual Youtube car content - even though the "Rob picks up his Lambo" video was a bit of a surprise ! Chris seems to be really skilled at what he does, and I like their meticulous approach, I guess there aren't many salvage repair places that work to that standard. The recent video where they looked at that totally bodged Fiesta was a bit of an eye opener.
