Yeah, iconic character and part of what made OFAH so great, I went off it and put it in the box of stuff I used to like and overdosed on but having seen a couple on Uk Gold or whatever recently it really was good, gentle comedy.

I always quite fancied Marlene to be honest

Only just seen this, somehow managed to miss the news yesterday. OFAH was brilliant and Boycie was a hugely important element of the show. Despite being a pretty horrible character John Challis played the part so well that Boycie almost became likeable.

I recall a few days ago that he had had to cancel dates of his own show due to illness, it just popped up as a minor news story online but didn’t give any further details. A tragic loss but what a legacy to leave behind. Quite poignant that this year is the 40th anniversary of Only Fools & Horses. RIP.

yep…. it’s a Robin, not a Regal

either way, one of my favourite comedy characters. might be in a minority, but i loved The Green Green Grass as well!
