Looks a bit meh to be honest.

Not sure how much of an audience is left for this after the way the original shat on everyone.

I'm the same, will give it a go but I doubt it will be top notch.

I really enjoyed GoT up until the last season - after making people wait well over a year for the it and with a truncated episode count, the first two eps seemed to go nowhere. But they really lost me with the Battle at Winterfell. It should have been epic but was disappointing in so many ways. Production quality was amazing til the end but they just dropped the ball utterly, story-wise.

The sheer amount of disappointment generated by all that just has turned me off the fictional Westeros universe.. If reviews from people I respect rate this as amazing I'll give it go but probably won't bother watching from day one.

Plus, George RR Martin STILL hasn't brought out the penultimate book. Ridiculous - get on with finishing the novels before you get involved in prequels etc.

It still bugs me why they put their catapults in front of their defensive line. Minor in the grand scheme of things, but perfectly sums up the writer's mentality of doing things they thought cool, rather than what made logical sense.

They used a Russian military advisor.

Probably because it was too dark and they couldn't see what the hell was going on....
