A drama on the 2009 "Climategate" hacking of e-mails from the University of East Anglia, and associated correspondence from the likes of Mike Mann and Jonathan Overpeck et al to be aired Monday 18th October.

From the synopsis, it would appear to be a piece on how poor Phil Jones of the UAE ("we used Mike's Nature trick to hide the decline") lost some sleep over the expose.

I suspect there will be no mention of:-

> The Yamal deception
> YAD061
> From the above, the tortured data to produce MBH98 (the "Hockeystick" graph)
> The e-mail to David Deming stating that, '....we must remove the Medieval Warm Period'
> The thinly veiled celebration of the death of John Christie

I would expect PH'er "Guam" would be all over this like a rash.

The documentary afterwards was interesting as well. Clearly mistakes were made but it seems the results were/are stil valid.

OP: if the data was doctored, how come Berkley co-opted a bunch of climate sceptics/deniers, funded by the oil companies, to process the raw data themselves & came up with hthe same answer? The chief sceptic even admitted it on camera.

And that’s the crux of it. ANY legitimate scientific body - no matter who is funding it - will come up with the same result.
