From BBC:

"Have I Got News For You, Series 62, Episode 2 will not broadcast on 15th October 2021 as previously planned".

Should be on now (Friday BBC1 2100H).

Does anyone know why?

The murder of an MP might make political humour seem in bad taste.

They've also cancelled the last episode of The Cleaner.

I'd imagine that decision will have been based on it probably not being the best idea to broadcast a show, poking fun at the week in politics, and follow it with a comedy show about crime scene clean up, when earlier in the day an MP was stabbed to death whilst attending a local constituency meeting.

Having had the misfortune to watch half of last weeks episode ( before I turned over ) it is no hardship that this weeks episode has been pulled.

I think The Last Leg might also have been pulled for the same reason.

I persevered for 10 mins of last week's episode but had to stop. Wtf's going on with the canned laughter? They had it dialled up to 11, it was truly horrendous, I couldn't concentrate on what they were actually saying.

I’m glad it wasn’t just me that noticed the terrible canned laughter - it was truly dreadful ( particularly when the guests weren’t in the slightest bit funny).

That wasn't scheduled for this week as C4 were running their annual Stand Up To Cancer event.

Ah right, thanks. Just noticed that I didn’t have it recorded this morning.

I didn't listen at the time but 'The News Quiz' is in the schedules for 18:30 last Friday, has been available on BBC Sounds and is repeated on 4Extra tomorrow.

The episode has now appeared on the iPlayer as it appears it was shown yesterday at 10:45pm after the news. Extended version is scheduled for 1:10am on BBC1 overnight so should also end up on catch up services too.

Is it canned, I though it was filmed with a live Zoom audience?

If anybody wants to watch Ep 2 it's on IPlayer.

I watched it a few days ago - okay(ish) episode, although I'm not sure why Paul was being so irritating towards Alexander Armstrong.

Merton does seem to have those days when he seems to hate everyone.
