Al Murray : Why DonThe Brits Win Every War?

Was really looking forward to this as I really like Al as a historian, comedian and The Pub Landlord. However....the first episode was about wars with France, each week the episode will be about different countries we have waged war against, Al teamed up with Fred from First Dates who I think is pretty talentless but he’s French and I suppose they couldn’t find anyone else and to be honest it was an absolute cringe fest. I switched off not long after they re-enacted the battle of Trafalgar with pedalos on a boating lake.
Trying to make comedy where there wasn’t any was it’s biggest crime and It didn’t work. I do hope the German episode will be better as they’ve got Hening Vien alongside Al and he should be a lot better as he’s genuinely funny and will ‘get’ the concept.

It is absolutely brilliant.
