What a massive load of wk it was, certainly not a patch on the original.

Who was that Mario speedrunner, Shanghai'd? He ticked an awful lot of boxes, I guess...

The COD girls were about as good at that game as my mum.

And the 2 x pony-tailed, bespectacled guys playing Tekken, and the Beat Ninja guy were about as stereotypical as you could get, all 3 reminded me of Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons. Although I did chuckle when they showed Beat Ninja dude just swinging them around without any of the sound effects, and just stood in front of the green screen. But if you're going to leave your bedroom for the first time in years, at least make an effort. They all looked like walking 30-something heart attacks.

The best thing was the Sugar Boat story.

I've not watched it yet but have they bought Dave Perry back.
His sulking was hilarious at the time.

I would doubt anything put out by the big four channels would be decent viewing in regards to games.
I watch a lot of YouTube about games (mostly 8-bit and 16-bit stuff), the videos are articulate, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable about the product. The kind of rubbish that UK telly produce these days just cannot compete.

But some of us are too old to be watching Pewdiepie.

Watched it, don't really get the derision, very similar to the old one, enjoyed the challenges, a 7/10 from me

That's the point, the world has moved on a lot since then. Yet what do they pick, an old style Mario single player platform game that only lasted 2m29s and no one else trying to beat it and a very brief Call of Duty. Too much chat, not enough gaming.

Cheesy as feck but didnt mind it TBH, though the Dara O Brian games quiz show on Dave was better IMO. The COD segment reminded me of getting mullered by gobby 12 year olds online back in the day hehe

Loved Dominic Diamond as well, absolutely cutting. Can you imagine this version of the program today though, even if they had the Mermaids they would be suing after being grabbed by a nerd.

I just skim watched the new version on YouTube and can I just say it is utter, utter rubbish. Having visited the Channel 4 head offices before, it was no surprise that virtually everybody on the program ticked some sort of woke box.

I am sure the guy picked for the sabre challenge was only on the program so they could poke fun at white males while pushing their woke agenda.

The best thing about the old one was Dominic Diamond absolutely ripping the piss out of people.

A shame that's not acceptable anymore as it made for good TV

Seeing (Extra)Big Boy Barry made me think of a series he was in with an unknown David Walliams, after a quick check for what I thought was called Games World? I found this...

It's not a one off. It's back on tomorrow night.

It wasn't a good show last week. It's an old format and watching other people play games is on the internet all the time now.
