Well, only 10 mins in and the implausible opening is putting me off.

I hope the story gets stronger as I’ve looked forward to this.

Yep, I agree. I gave up after the opening scene.
I said to the Mrs that anything that happens after the first 10 minutes is nonsense based on the opening.
Why go off road at all?

I’m bored. This was a bad call on a hungover New Year’s Day

It all seems perfectly plausible.

He took the dirt road to Burnt Ridge which is where he was going. Truck followed him

Cheers, missed that. My thoughts were that by staying on main road he should have never been caught up with.
It still didn’t capture my imagination and I won’t be watching any more.

We enjoyed it. It raises the question, is he a goody or a baddy?

Feels contrived and stuffed with a checklist handed down from executives.

Lacks finesse and suspense of Coen Bros

Things that annoyed me…..
Could a big truck and trailer out manoeuvre a small car off road?.
Wouldn’t there be some evidence of a collision such as paint, broken glass on the road or tyre skid marks on the road perpendicular to the direction of travel that even inspector Clouseau would have spotted?
If you’ve been involved in an accident and suffering total amnesia do Australian medical staff leave you outside the hospital in a wheelchair and ask you to make your own way back in?
Do Australians suffer dysentery so bad that dozens use the filthy toilet in a deserted outback petrol station in the space of a couple of days?

Obvious these and several other moments may be explained later in the story. Ironically the last 5 minutes were quite good and the Wife enjoyed it so I’ll be watching the next episode if only to rant and moan afterwards smile

If most TV dramas were realistic to average life, sod all would happen and they would be boring.

Just binged it.

Almost turned it off half way through ep 1 as it was obviously trying to be Fargo meets Breaking Bad.

It does get a lot better. It's not great but kept us entertained on a very wet & windy Sunday.

You'll have to forgive MASSIVE plot holes and roll with it if you stick with it.

Some very unexpected twists. Didn't see the end coming.

I'm racking my brains, I'm sure that exact set piece of a lorry chasing a car on a deserted highway has been done before.

Maybe by a rookie director who went on to greater things.

Or perhaps this is quite an original setpiece... hehe

It’s absolute garbage ,and that’s putting it politely. Can no one make any decent TV or films any more ? Unbelievable story line and terrible acting.
