From the trailer i saw during Interceptors earlier, it appears to be following the same path of yet another barrel scraping creation, that C5 have become well known for over the years (rather than ITV as mentioned).

For all C5's recent attempts to say they're dumping various shows to put more £££ into original drama series, you then have them creating more shows like the one referenced here (add to that all the xxx kids & counting, etc, etc).

It was quite watchable, as it clashed with absolutely nothing frown

Caught up with episode 2 a few days ago, typical council rubbish!
Couple (her with dole pole) husband does all the housework and their son want to downsize, drive around 200 miles to view a smaller house then moan "the rooms are tiny compared to ours" rolleyes
They then drive another couple hundred miles to look at another to find out once there that the rent is double what they currently pay.

The other people wanting to swap mostly want/need to do so as another baby came along so need more space

The one overlooking the park was a cracker if you didn't mind sleeping in a cot. Bedroom was tiny.

Latest episode where the guy asks what his partner thinks of the immediate area and her reply is..."it's a bit council estate!" laugh

I wonder if at the end of the series we will find out if anyone actually managed to complete a swap.
In some of the cases they mention what the person does for work or if they don't/can't work (latest episode chap in London was a postie but has long covid), but I am baffled by how many of the families seem to just pick up and want to move a few hundred miles away, is it a case of they just want their 5mins of fame to be on tv or are actually genuine and wanting to start a fresh?

Mrs F watches this, I'm in the room reading a book usually. Therefore perhaps my opinion isn't that valid because of lack of concentration but the people and some of the background issues aired both bemuse and infuriate me in equal measures.

One thing I observed, with which Mrs F agreed, when you're buying a property, unless absolutely minted, what you'd ideally like to buy in terms of size, type, location, condition, facilities of the property and surrounding area invariably results in some compromises considering budget and real life practical considerations. This lot, nope, compromises generally not or rarely applicable.

That's quite an elaborate explanation to pretend you're not watching it. wink

Mmmmm, but I'm not watching it, yet sometimes something briefly permeates through as I'm sitting only a short distance away from the set.

If you can't understand that and are maybe just posting in true PH saddo style in order to have a pop, shrug.

It was intended to be a jest in good humour, and you're coming across as condescending and pompous.

Shrug.

So confusing this place. There are posters who do pitch in and genuinely have a pop, but then say they were only having a joke, usually with that's why there was a smiley. Then others who issue a jest but no smiley. confused

If I missed the 'joke' then sorry for that.

It was genuinely intended to be in good homour. No worries, just a misunderstanding.
