What.....

No post on the last ever episode of Neighbours?

I've not watched it for 20 years but it was a huge part of my childhood and teenage years ago so I had to watch tonight...

They came back!!

Watched it for old times sake. Can’t say I’m sorry not to have watched it for 30+ years. Jane looks old…mind you, so do I hehe

Didn't watch it but saw some reports on Toadie marrying Melanie which surprised me as Mel must be about 60 odd and Joe Mangels bird last time I watched it.
Toad fish must have been a little tadpole still swimming in his dad's balls at that time.

I loved watching it back in the late 80's when I got home from school, the era of Joe Mangel, Shane, Mike, Harold, Beth, Daphne and Des etc... I must have stopped watching when most of those main characters left, probably early 90's.

My wife was a bit surprised at this match and googled the two actors' real life ages... "Toady" is 42, and "Mel" is 57.

She was lovely, as were those twins Paul dabbled with.

Was it my imagination or did Lou nearly get his end away with Annalise when she first came into the soap?

My memory was Neighbours being big until it moved on to Channel 5. It faded off after that.

Bit weird that Kylie didn’t speak.

Presume they would need to pay her if she had actual lines.

Same, remember working at RAF Kinloss and the whole hanger would congregate on the TV room when Neighbours was on, got hooked from then. Sad times indeed.

Are you able to give some back story to the final episode please?

All of the houses looked for for sale, why was that?
Had some of the original cast already started to return to the show over recent weeks - Harold Bishop, Paul Robinson etc?
What was the reason for Mike and Jane being on the street, had they already been in the show in recent weeks?
Same with Scott & Charlene, did they suddenly appear, or was the street expecting them, and why?

It probably was tosh the first time around but fml the missus had this on and it just sounded absolutely awful.

Some old bloke in a cravat making his money on cryptocarancy (yes Aussie accent)....what happened to Joe mangle with his bottle of beer shouting and the set walls shaking.

The houses were for sale as most of the residents had decided to move away. At the end they all want to stay. Just a light hearted plot twist.

Harold returned about three weeks ago for the final stint. Paul Robinson has been a regular since 2004. He's acted as the main antagonist over the years.

Mike came to visit his daughter who works at the hotel. Jane has been back as a regular for about three years.

Scott and Charlene just seemed to randomly pop up. No reason given as far as I can tell.

I'll also add that I stopped watching it for a number of years and only returned to it when Dee Bliss came back in early 2017.

I think the show lost viewers with the move to Channel 5. Neighbours was always on after CBBC, I guess why so many youngsters used to watch it.

There's still Home and Away but to me that never appealed like Neighbours.

I used to watch it when it was on the BBC but never followed it to Channel 5.

Very poor way to end the show, could have been so much better.
