TV series that are rubbish to critics but easy watching
Discussion
Give a list of your best of the worst tv series that are panned by snobs and Mark Kermode alikes, but you can sit there after a 12 hour shift or 12 glasses of wine and no sleep for a week and just switch off, whilst these criminals to television Emmys play out on your dolby 10.2, 80 inch super duper OLED with 24 karat cables.
The Last Ship:

Strangely relevant in an awful way to current life, in the first few episodes, a brilliant but awful cheese board fest of an Arleigh Burke destroyer, best fighting machine in the world, full of fake Russians, 5 inch naval guns shooting down jets and helicopters, you know Astute class subs, awfully terribly teriffic, probably make it through the first two seasons before you can use it instead of sleeping tablets, I don't know what happened in the end, 5 seasons is just too far, probably started a new civilisation on a volcano or something.
Revolution:

Ah yes a brilliant classic of awfulness, totally mind numbing like taking a super strengh whole packet of herbal calms. You'll enjoy this brilliant series, whereby someone turned the switch off, yes electricity just went home and society just went back to the Wild West, has more plot holes than a black hole, don't know the end because I was blessed with a self enduced coma from this strange creation.
The Last Man on Earth:

Wonderful concept, the first few episodes are entertaining, the last man met the last women, then the writers couldn't write anymore with 1 or 2 characters so they created a post apocalyptic version of Neighbours mixed with suburban Shameless, it's no Only Fools and Horses, you'll probably make it to season two before knocking yourself out on the coffee table, worth a watch for the first few episodes until a human version of Fraggle Rock turns up.
Went off on a tangent, I'm not really up with the awful ones on Netflix and Prime Video, I'm sure there are many, thank you, sorry if I offended anyone.

After La Brea got a one star review in the Guardian I'll definitely be checking it out. No risk of being sucked in for the full series either, as only the first episode is available on C5, you have to pay for the rest on Paramount.
One star is generous for that dross.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
