Just hit me how much time we must spend watching adverts on TV. Only realised it during the pause of all advertising in respect to QEII’s funeral, how long the silent advert breaks are, and just how nice it is not be to marketed to constantly!

I record a lot of stuff on say ITV3, Drama, Yesterday and the like, so I can fast forward through the adverts. But over the weekend, watching quite a few things that I recorded from a few weeks ago, I found myself noticing just how must ste there is. It was like I had to keep pressing the FF constantly, and for ages. I kept thinking "Christ on a bike, here we go again. How much longer are these going on for ?"

Do they not realise no one takes any notice of their ste ? And the ones the really make my piss boil are the daytime ones where they show the same advert at the start and end of each advert break, as if the idiot company thinks I'm more likely to buy some crappy wine or a mobility scooter if I see it 20 times in an hour !

I think they're quite useful as you know when you see the Dacia ad come on it's time to drop out of fast forward and not miss any of the film you're trying to watch.
