The Smallest Cog

I guess many on this site have watched series one and 'shook their head'!
For many reasons this particular show 'looks doomed to failure'?
I like the hamster and hope it all works out for him and the Greenhouses.
I feel this venture is 10 years TOO LATE...
I have a project car that I would love him to do but I know it would be WAY outta my Budget???

James May's 'roast' of him on YouTube is fairly gentle, but gets it right, I think:
You build that sort of business on a reputation, first and foremost.
You don't build it by going out and splurging immense amounts of cash on the finest facilities and equipment money can buy in the hope that it will be successful on a 'build it and they will come' basis.
I don't dislike Hammond, but let's be honest, his reputation is of a comical little geezer who crashes a lot, not as a knowledgeble and skilled vehicle restorer. If I had a car to restore, I'd be taking it to a marque specialist with an established reputation, not to a TV personality.
Maybe the media revenue he can make from it will prop up the actual, core business, though?
