SIC: Prince of MotoGP
Discussion
Just started watching this on Sky Documentaries.
A really high quality production and anyone with even a passing interest in Super Sic, or MotoGP, or bike racing in general should check it out.
Such a sad loss (in such a sad way) even 10 years on, but a real celebration of Marco too.
Check it out

Thanks for this.
I remember watching evry session, as I usally do, of this race.
I was just left stunned and in denial after what then went on to be shown.
I have seen a number of high profile racers lose their lives in front of me, in real life and on the big screen.
Marco was one of the hardest I have to observe.

Couldn’t agree more, on all points. Always been a massive Rossi fan but Sic was fantastic - everything a bike racer should be. 100% passion, 100% commitment, 100% of the time and didn’t give a f*ck about anything else. I remember watching evry session, as I usally do, of this race.

The only consolation is that he went doing what he loved surrounded by his mates, but such a tragic circumstance.
You’ll watch it with a tear in your eye - I promise. On the plus side, there’s loads of Rossi talking in his native Italian, which is always a joy to behold

The hero worship of him is a bit odd to me, he was at times one of the dirtiest riders I have ever seen, but as a person a genuinely nice guy, I simply would not have wanted to share a track with him, he upset just about every rider he came across at one time or another. Annoyingly he was starting to mature when he was lost, as we all knew he would.
