If there are ads it should be free, more people will view the ads so they can charge more to the advertiser.

Sky is both subscription and adverts? Amazon have launched freevee, no subs, only ads.

Regressing, I think that's the word you're looking for. Cord cutting was about moving away from ad filled, weekly released subscription TV.

Except you'll be hard pushed to find much worthwhile on Freevee, unless you're absolutely addicted to TV and must be watching something regardless, then you can knock yourself out on back catalogue American action series from the 80's and 90's.
