From the creators of Dark, which was a masterpiece, 1899 is now out on Netflix.
Just watched the first episode and it looks to have great potential, looking forward to bingeing this over the weekend.

Just watched the first episode too, very good and it’s Dark vibes all over again so don’t think it will disappoint.

Assuming it’s the same casting director too who is in no short supply of doppelgänger actors lol

Really looking forward to this, but won’t get to it till at least Saturday or Sunday - good to hear it’s as “dark” as expected

Looks like they might have ripped off the graphic novel Black Silence by a Brazilian artist.

It's very well done, real head scratcher. Certainly not for everyone, but if you like dark humour and ghost stories then would be worth a watch.

Am on episode 5 and it still doesn't make sense!

The ending is most certainly not expected! Keep with it.

I don't really do TV but we watched this and thought it was very good. Enjoy!

Maybe this is why I keep thinking 1899 is a Yellowstone prequel between "1883" and "1923"

Disappointed by this, albeit it's still very good. Expectations were high after S1/2 of Dark (S3 was a bit hit and miss).

The problem for me was that it was far too slow. We don't binge watch, so watched it over a month.

It did keep me engaged, the premise was great, the acting superb and the ending excellent - it could have just got there much quicker than eight episodes, as others have said. Six would have been better.
