Bullitt remake
Discussion
The clip I saw... involved that classic Mustang.
( But it will involve American muscle cars...).
They will need a VW Beetle though... & a lot of hubcaps.
NB: To be directed by Spielberg.
But they have covered themselves by saying that it won’t be a scene by scene remake... Just that BC will be Frank Bullitt.

Bullet is in my opinion a tremendously overrated film, fondly remembered because of McQueen rather than its actual quality. Can't see any need to remake it other than to cash in on the name. Oh, and the car chase is a bit crap if you pay attention. I'll get my coat.....

Completely agree to the point that I think it might actually meet Lisa's criteria above....If they don't over CGI it it could be brilliant!
Apart from the car chase, the original film was pretty dull.
I imagine the Charger would have to become a Challenger in terms of eye candy and they'd have to rule out a Hellcat or the Mustang might be embarrassed on the straights.
I suspect Ford will be rubbing their hands given how Smokey and the Bandit boosted Trans Am sales. A last hoorah for the Mustang but otherwise wholly pointless.

I was going on holiday to SF, so worked out where the car chase was set only to find it was randomly all over the area so difficult to put a route together that covered the sequence!
I found that the petrol station at the end of the ‘out of town’ part of the chase is now an office block, and a delay in picking the hire car up pretty much killed the idea of seeing some of the locations.

I watched one of the transformers films where they were racing “around London”I found that the petrol station at the end of the ‘out of town’ part of the chase is now an office block, and a delay in picking the hire car up pretty much killed the idea of seeing some of the locations.
The only way to follow that route would have been to teleport between shots…..
Actually just like every other film or TV show that has some sort of journey through the capital.
