I've looked, but can't actually see a thread that delivers.

I was born in the 70's but it's the 80's/90's that I came of age. And there are a few films I'd like to see follow up.

Ferris Beuller, for instance. Did Ferris and Mia get married? How did the conversation with Cameron and his dad go, re the Ferrari?
The Goonies; how did they all turn out, especially Chunk? Apart from one becoming a Hobbit
It's been done, just look at Top Gun, or Tron, or Rocky, or even Rambo.

Anyone else interested? Regardless of year made, would you like to see how your favourite film characters developed later in their lives?

Tricky subject, because sequels are more often than not weaker than their original.

Sounds like I will get this wish. But a sequel/prequel to Heat. Am reading the book now.

Usual Suspects is another.

Prequels lend themselves perfectly here. QT apparently wanted to do a Vic/Vincent Vega prequel, but time ran out. Travolta and Madsen are too old. But could they be used as maybe dad/uncle Vega?

Didn't you just say that? (Tip your waitress etc...)

However, there was/is talk of doing a remake but based around the point of view of Rita's experience of the day. No idea if it will ever get past the thinking about it stage.

Italian job 2, have them somehow getting the coach back on the road but losing the gold down the mountain, then having another heist to reclaim it.

The time machine 2. Not so much that the film deserves a sequel, but Stephen Baxter wrote a sequel to the book which stands comparison with the original and has enough material for at least 2 films.

Voldemort, you probably said that tongue in cheek, however Rose's life between landing in Nova Scotia and arriving on the Akademik Mstislav Keldysh could have the makings of a good film.

Surely they'd have to make the exact same film? biggrin

How about the world after Arnie brought down the Network in The Running Man? Or after Truman left The Truman Show? Or once the world saw the arrival of Ed Harrison atop the alien thing?

An obvious one given its source material but sequels to Tinker Tailor Solider Spy with Garry Newman would have been great.

I know everyone says BBC Alec Guiness series much better, but I liked the film and think they could have done The Honourable School Boy and Smileys People well

I’m going to get laughed off the forum here, but Sahara. I thought it was a good action film in the style of Indiana Jones crossed with Bond. Clive Cussler has a ton of material that could have turned it into an entertaining franchise.
